The kid IS the rocket!

STEM in Summer Reading

Oklahoma Department of Libraries and Institute of Museum and Library Services have provided funding from ‘The Kid IS the rocket’ grant for the library to purchase AWESOME materials to incorporate more STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) into summer programs. Kids attending 2015 summer programs will use the following materials to build, perform, video, and edit a summer skit.

  • Mr. McGroovy’s Rivets
  • Apple ipads
  • Cardboard boxes
  • Paint

    Hi Amy,

I want to bring my four year old and 10 year old nephews to your programs? Is there an age range?

Hi Melissa! We ask that children have completed Pre-K to be able to attend summer programming. The programs are ‘geared’ for elementary aged children. I wanted to let you know that we do offer storytime programming for babies-preschool age children, but we do not do storytime during the summer. Hope to see you soon at the library!
