This summer we’re all about fitness.

Waurika Public Library will again join with other local organizations, groups and businesses to offer daily summer programming and lunch for children.

Children who have completed Pre-K – entering 5th grade in the fall are invited to participate in programming and ANY school aged child is invited to come eat lunch.

This year’s Program is scheduled to begin June 6th and conclude July 29th.  The Program will be held M-F, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.  There will be no programming on July 4^th.

The month of March is National Reading Month! Tuesday, March 2nd, in honor of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, the Waurika Public Library will be inviting local Head Start children from Waurika and Temple. The Friends of Waurika Public Library will be providing cupcakes for the children as well as reading and Dr. Seuss related activities. The event will begin at 10:00 am. Children that would normally be attending Story Time are welcome to participate as well.

Please join us at the Waurika Public Library at 5 p.m. on January 19^th as we welcome our new librarian, Darren Biby. Darren grew up in Waurika and graduated from Waurika High School in 1992. After graduation, he attended Oklahoma State University and majored in Computer Science. Previously, Darren was the Purchasing Supervisor and Project Manager for Manheim Auto Auction in Ft. Worth Texas.
